I have to say, I am pretty unfamilar with Grishams work, and have read half on one book, but didn't find the time to finish it for one reason or another. I found this book pretty tricky to get into, not because of the writing, but more because I havnt read a book in months before this. It is quite a leisurely paced book about a criminal who is pardoned and then sent to italy in a sort of witness protection program. The main bulk of the book is about him meeting people, learning italian and I found that it started to drag in places. However near the end it gathers speed and races ahead. The ending was a little predictable, but satisfying none the less. Over all I enjoyed it, but I spent far too long reading it (7 days! I am supposed to average 3.6 days a book to read 100 in a year!) and I will have to pick up the pace considerably.
I intend to look into some other (critically better) Grisham books, but that won't be for a while, as one of my rules is to not read a book by the same author in this cannonball run.
